She is best known for her role as the protagonist of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. The only daughter of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into showbiz early and landed up being the lead in a variety of television dramas by the time she was just 16. Her fame was due to her performance on Der Tunnel. This paved the way for more memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge.
